Here's how it all
works: First, you ask us for a quotation either using our Enquiry Form or by e-mail or standard mail with all relevant data accompanied by pictures of your sculpture. We translate this into Chinese, discuss the work to be done with our Chinese foundry managers, then give you a quotation for bronze casting with a specific Quotation Reference Number (QRN). When you are ready to place your order, you will fill out our Casting Order Form. We will then send you an Order Reference Number (ORN). After that, you send us a hard copy of your original artwork to be reproduced or model to be enlarged; we can also pick it up from you - whichever has been agreed on. If you do not have a hard copy, we can help you to have one made by arranging the making of a mould and a cast suitable for transport. You also pay us a deposit of 50% of the value of the order. We ship your artwork to one of our foundries in China. Your sculpture is reproduced there (for small works either as a limited or unlimited edition, or in the case of monumental works, as a unique piece) or enlarged, according to the instructions you have given us. Then, if the work was bronze, the sculptures are patinated, securely packaged for shipped, and transported back to the UK or Canada. We take care of all import clearances and, after receiving your final payment, we ensure it arrives back to you. We will coordinate everything!!! However, if you wish to visit the bronze foundry during the casting or the marble carving studio while your piece is being carved or enlarged, we arrange pick up from the closest airport and accommodation and meals next to the art foundry or marble studio. A one week visit typically costs as low as £600 (or up to £800) depending on the time of the year you fly, and the type of accomodation you prefer. A further week would only add another £100 to the costs. Please note that we ask you to sign a "fairness" agreement if you do decide to visit. Our Chinese foundries are our trustworthy partners and will not accept any direct orders from you for a period of three years. This covers everyone there, from foundry technician to patination expert. Also, you need not worry about any "illegal" or "unauthorized" copies of your work being made. The bronze foundries and carving studios we use are 100% trustworthy. If they wish to display a sample of one of your sculptures in their foundry gallery, they will always ask for permission first.
