Castaway Foundries provides a
fantastic enlargement service using a network of Chinese sculptors, studios and
foundries in China, where the lower cost of living and labour translate into
savings to you.
You have a small maquette or model - we'll help you to
turn it into a monumental sculpture, either in bronze (cast) or marble (carved)
or even in stainless steel or resin if the design is suitable.
(Note
that we can also CREATE a small model for you based upon just an initial
concept or idea if you are not a sculptor but wish to have a monumental
sculpture designed for you!)
If you wish us to make an enlargement
for you, to provide you with a quotation we will need:
— Good
quality images from several angles of your original maquette showing overall
composition and any details.
— Dimensions of the original maquette
and projected dimensions of the finished enlargement.
— What
material you want us to enlarge your sculpture in (besides marble and bronze,
we can also have enlargements made in resin or stainles steel where the design
suits these materials.)
— Any relevant local engineering and
building code requirements for your country, including your instructions or
suggestions for the inner supporting structure, and mounting or installation
needs.
— A material description of your original maquette (stone,
wood, clay, wax, other?)
— Any production or installation time
scale, schedule or deadline.
When you are ready to place an order, we
will need a hard copy of the actual maquette or model.
