Bronze Casting

Please note that while every
effort has been made to provide the following bronze patination chart for you
to select your preferred patina, Castaway Foundries cannot guarantee
that the patination on your sculpture(s) will be a perfect match as the colours
shown here can be affected by your screen monitor, and the colour on your
finished artwork will depend on the chemical composition of the bronze, the
chemicals used to patinate it, and the surface / texture you have given to your
artwork.
The picture files here are quite large so may take time to
download. You can click on any image to see a larger image, which will take
even longer to download, but we recommend that you do take the time to do this
before placing your order.
The Casting Order Form allows you to
select one (or several of our patinas) and also to give additional
instructions. Please use similar simple descriptions - and best of all, if you
have one, provide a sample.
Colours are a very subjective issue -
we will do our best to patinate your bronze sculpture(s) so that form is
enhanced by hue!
Our experienced patination technicians and supervising
sculptors will do their utmost to follow your written instructions (as
specified by you on the Casting Order
Form). However, if you wish to go to China yourself to supervise your
bronze patinations (or get involved in any step of the foundry work), then we
(or you) can arrange travel, and we definitely can take care of accommodation
and meal arrangements on site or close to the art foundry.
If you
leave this step to us entirely, and the patina isn't exactly how you envisioned
it, you will need to have it done again in your home country at your own
expense as shipping it all there and back again is going to take too much
time and end up costing a whole lot more!
